I created The Lactation Cookie Co. to help busy moms on their breastfeeding journey. As a new mom, I wasn't sure how to do it all being a small biz owner and a 'geriatric' mom, over 35, eek (can they change that term pls!) 

I know firsthand that breastfeeding a child can be one of the most rewarding and beautiful experiences and it can also be extremely challenging at times. My piece of advice for every new mom is, every little bit of support makes a difference so always ask friends, family and professionals if you need help. 

After an extremely rough start to my breastfeeding journey, I looked for help! With the help of my lactation consultant Catherine who visited me at my home and many visits to the breastfeeding clinic at our local hospital, I was able to successfully breastfeed my son Julian, it did take a few weeks though so be patient with yourself Mamas.

Without the patience, guidance & education that these wonderful women provided me I think I would've given up! That's why when I started this biz, I wanted to give back.

How am I giving back?

My promise to you is, that a portion of proceeds from EVERY box sold will go to help support breastfeeding education in North America. 

Two of my favourite organizations that we are donating to in 2021 and 2022 are La Leche Leauge Canada and La Leche League USA which have both supported me here in my local chapter and many moms have used their support across North America, and let's not forget their amazing book, The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, which I highly recommend. 

In the future, I want to create in person education sessions with our close friend and Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Catherine Pestl and host workshops locally with one of our fave Mama spots West End Mamas here in Toronto and similar organizations across North America.
